Inventory Control System Help Inventory Searches: At the Main Inventory Search page, you have 2 types of searches available. You can do a generic "Find All" or a more specific "Search". The Main Inventory database holds information for any part number stocked by Sells Printing. Information available includes the stocked item quantity, descriptions, locations, and others. Aside from the information on the search listing, you can get more specifig information in the partnumber detail section. There you also have available a summary count function that will count all inventory items for that specific part number in realtime. For more information on the specific areas mentioned such ad the detail page, please see the associated help topic. Find All: The "Find All" button (fig8b) will generically find all the entries in the inventory database. Please note that the entries listed will be all inventory items, including zero balance items. Search: The "Search" button (fig8a) allows you to specify parameters to narrow your search. NOTE: By default, Stock Quantity greater than zero is selected for you (fig8). This setting will return only inventory items that are currently in stock. Simply clicking the "Search" button as is will return these items. The more search criteria you enter the more exact your search will be. Just as the less criteria you enter, the more records that could be returned. The following criteria are available: 1) Date Inventoried: Type a date formated as MM/DD/YYYY into the text field. The dropdown menu labeled "Choose an Option" allows you to modify the way you want the date matched. The dropdown is optional. The "Same As" option will match the entry exactly and only what was typed. The "After" option will match everything after, NOT including, the date typed into the text field. The "Before" option does the opposite of the "After" option. 2) Customer Part No: Type a full or partial part number into the text field. The more you type, the more specifically your part number will be matched. 3) Job Number: Type a full or partial job number into the text field. The more you type, the more specifically your job number will be matched. 4) Stock Quantity: Type a numeric quantity into the text field. The dropdown menu in front of the text field allows you to define you match criteria more specifically. The dropdown is optional. 5) Inventory Description: Type a complete or partial description into the text field. The more you type, the more specifically the description will be matched. ![]() |
